What are affiliate links?

When you click certain links and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. These are "affiliate links." The price you pay is never affected — it's identical to visiting the retailer directly.

Affiliate links help keep the lights on so we can keep writing free, high-quality content for homeowners, gardeners, and families.

How we choose what to recommend

Our editorial process is not influenced by affiliate relationships. Here's exactly how we decide:

  • We do not give higher ratings to products just because they pay higher commissions.
  • If a product without an affiliate program is better, we recommend it anyway.
  • We update recommendations when better options become available.

In line with the FTC's guidelines (16 C.F.R. Part 255):

  • This page is linked in our site footer and navigation.
  • Individual affiliate links may be identified inline.

Occasionally we publish sponsored content — articles created in partnership with a brand. All sponsored content is clearly labeled "Sponsored" or "In partnership with [Brand]" at the top of the post. We maintain full editorial control.

Advertising

We started The Nestiora because we were frustrated by home-advice sites that recommended the most expensive or most-promoted products rather than the best ones. If a recommendation ever doesn't live up to that promise, let us know. Your trust is more valuable to us than any commission.
